January’s Meeting Topic

Happy New Year Everyone!!

Our next Bainbridge Island Fruit Club meeting will be next Thursday the 15th from 6:30pm to 8:30pm (please note the time change), at the Bainbridge Grange Hall.

The topic Darren will be discussing this month is collecting & preparing fruit cuttings for grafting and propagation (including apples, pears, plum, cherries, and peaches…as well as figs, grapes, red/black currants, and gooseberries). Darren in planning on bringing some grafting tools and branches for us to practice on, and examples. Sounds fun to me!!!

We have loaded some grafting documents Darren has thoughtfully found for us to read onto the resources page of this website under the category: “General Gardening: Home Fruit Production”.
Hope to see you there!!
